Preschool ended...
Kiddie Kamp started {and ended today}....
I did some {minimal} gardening {um, the boxwoods have yet to actually be planted!}...
The best part of having flowers in the window boxes outside is seeing this on the inside....
The weekly lawn care is left in the capable hands of these three...
I've made some good new recipes {This one is worth a try. Big hit. I skipped the cheese and it was still delish}
We celebrated Memorial Day...
And Charlie attended his first Reds game. A right of passage in any young Cincinnatian's life!
The Avengers have become a topic of daily discussion in our home...
And lastly, Jimmy and I shared a weekend alone that was absolutely perfect. {Thanks to my parents for taking the boys} I didn't take any pictures but we thoroughly enjoyed every. single. minute. of it. We did wild and crazy things like stay in bed till 9:30 in the morning and go out to dinner at 11:00 at night. It was one of the best weekends we've had in a long time.
Next week marks the start of summer vacation for Andrew and I can't wait. After school water hose play has been in full swing for several weeks now, the pool is open for business, and we have a bunch of fun summer excursions planned. I'm going to pretend that it isn't raining and 60 degrees out. Wishing you a wonderful weekend!! xo
Summer is definitely a time to slow things down and focus on family! I'm right there with you on enjoying that over spending time connecting to the internet.
ReplyDeleteLove Charlie's popped collar in the first picture (:
Wonderful images! You have such a beautiful family. And love the hyndrangeas in your window boxes. Gorgeous!
ReplyDelete1. Glad you were able to take a moment out for blogging.
ReplyDelete2. Those preschool pictures are precious!
3. LOVED The Avengers and would be happy to discuss it with any of your kids.
4. When they remodeled our 1920's school, they took out all the beautiful old wall to wall floor to ceiling windows (for energy efficiency). I hope they keep some of your school's windows and don't reduce them down to one little one per room...sad sad.
Great pics! Looks likes may was a fun time!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see your post! I love your hydrangeas, and the boxwood will be great, too. Have a wonderful visit with your friend!
