Weekend in Pictures

Hi there.  Today we turned on the air conditioning, killed two flies in the kitchen, bought charcoal at the hardware store and sunscreen at the drugstore.  It seems ridiculous to think it is only mid March.  On Saturday, we greened-up and went downtown Cincinnati for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.  It was a looooooong parade.  After an hour we ducked out of the crowded streets and took the boys to lunch at a restaurant over looking Fountain Square and watched from the windows.  Ahhh.. much better.  Today was the neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  It was Charlie's first time seeing the Easter Bunny.  He was OBSESSED.  Wouldn't leave the bunny's side, with pure excitement on his face the ENTIRE time.  He kept asking the bunny questions like "did you have a nice nap today?" "do you like marshmallows?" "are you going to the mall?"  I apologize to all the patient children that were working up the nerve to high five or hug the bunny, Charlie was a bit territorial of the bunny's time.  I loved watching Andrew right alongside him showing his little brother the finer points of egg hunting.

  1. Looks like a fun and busy weekend! I've had the AC on here for awhile too...makes me worry what July will be like here in the South. Seems just too darn early to be in shorts and sandals. Everything is in bloom here, and it never fails, we get a cold snap right at Easter. I figure that snow in Arizona will be getting us soon!

  2. Fun weekend! We seem to be getting in "summer mode" early this year, too. I think it's the unusual warm weather. Great photos from the weekend!

  4. I have been not only confused this past week to which day it is, but I often have stopped and wondered what season we're currently in b/c of the unusual warm weather. I really have been living in a state of confusion for time now.

I clicked on that link for the blue & white gingham dress and Stella said, "hey, I want that dress"! I did just get her a blue & white gingham skirt from there. Great minds! I love the striped shirt Charlie has on, by the way.

So can't wait to try that chicken salad. Sooooo up my alley! Which is your same alley. :) xo

  6. Charlie's little racoon shirt is so cute! Do you live near Cincinatti, Ohio? I'm from Mansfield. I moved to PA after college...but my family is still in Ohio.

  7. I love your little village and all the fun festivities! The Easter bunny already??? I guess that means I need to get out the few Easter decorations I have before Easter comes and goes! I feel like Spring happened overnight!

Dreaming of my own small town life these days!
