Since everyone else is posting about Halloween,
I thought I'd share something different.
{actually, I don't have time to recap and write about Halloween +
our October activities and would much rather do a post with mostly pictures.}
I'm excited to share a peek of this room with you.
It's a small room and incredibly difficult to photograph so bear with me.
I also got a new fancy pants camera {that I have no business using} for my bday {thanks, Dad}
and I'm still learning how to make it work {no auto setting on this one!!}. Anyways....
My bedroom is absolutely my favorite room {now} in our home.
It is about 95% complete, but the final touches might take a while...still searching for a pretty antique desk chair, an antique side table for the other nightstand, the perfect hardware for our long dresser, and a few odds and ends, but if I wait for all that it may be another year
before I get to share it with you....
I was lucky to work, shop, consult (not sure what I should call what we did)
with Holly Mathis again on this room. Basically, Holly made my room beautiful. Period.
It was even more fun working (er, designing) together the second time around.
She is now a dear friend and knows my taste better than I do.
She tends to be overly modest about her talents, which is what makes her endearing to work with,
but that girl knows how to pull it together! She is amazing...Take a look...

{After}
{If you look close you can see the drapes and the arched ceiling.
I'll be happy to post sources if there are questions. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your monogrammed pillows and would be so grateful if you'd share your source!!
ReplyDeleteI AM SOOOOO IN LOVE WITH THIS ROOM!!!!!!! I am bookmarking this post to include in my next post to ponder, you have done exquisite taste and this is such a "me" room. Now I am going back to scroll up and drool some more, fabulous job, every inch!!!!
ReplyDeleteY'all did great!! The gingham pillows are my favorite (yes, I'm probably supposed to like the monogrammed ones more, but I LOVE checks.) And the room truly looks like you (or at least what I THINK should look like you!) Beautiful job by both of you!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom is stunning! I love your entire home!
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING! Holly (and you) did an AMAZING job! It looks like a chic bed and breakfast. Just beautiful.....
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!!! Are your pillows from Ballards? Martina
ReplyDeleteI am in loooooove! So french country - I die. I may have to give Holly a call! I have lots of rooms I need help with :)
ReplyDeleteShe did an amazing job. It is so gorgeous. I know you must look forward to getting into bed every night knowing you get to wake-up there in the morning. I thought your bedroom looked pretty before but now that I see the after, it's even prettier. I love those big fluffy pillows and all the layers on your bed. I really love the wallpaper too (or is that a stencil?). Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBee-yoo-ti-ful! I am pinning these pictures, so you know that I love them. Your monogrammed pillows are gorgeous as are the wall-mounted lamps. I love the starburst fitting.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I can't decide what I like best - the soft blues and greens, the lovely rich wood dresser, the beautiful cushions on the bed. Basically I love it all.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous room. What color is your dresser painted? {the gray one} I love it.
ReplyDelete~Robin
I love it! That's my kind of Master Bedroom... Gorgeous!!!! xoxo Alex
ReplyDeleteOh Tessa I love it!!! It looks like a bed and breakfast and so warm and cozy, just in time for winter and the holidays! I think you just helped me get the push I needed to finish our home. Beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteMeg
Oh, beautiful! Love the wallpaper! Nice job Holly and Tessa.
ReplyDeleteSo nice that your bedroom is now your favorite room. It's lovely. The antique dresser used as a nightstand is simply gorgeous! I love your bedding also. Enjoy your new room!
ReplyDeleteClaudia
When is Country Living coming to shoot? Y'all did a beautiful job. It's so charming and inviting. I'd never leave bed! I could not adore that wallpaper anymore than I do. And the sconces! OK, can y'all come over and redo my bedroom now? It's the most neglected room in the house, sadly.
ReplyDeleteTessa, you seriously make me laugh. YOU are my blog BFF! I feel the same...Pinterest & Tmblr are my quick fixes and I save blogs for moments when I have time to read them good. But when I do, I make a bee-line to yours. xo
Wow! I was drooling over the before pics and then I saw the afters. Great job you two! Love both of your styles and so enjoy following your pins. Enjoy that gorgeous room Tessa!
ReplyDeleteYour room is beautiful and it was beautiful before but now it's got such a pretty pulled together look. I'm visiting from Holly Mathis. I love the fabric on the bolster pillow - could you provide the source on that? Enjoy your room - sounds like a lot of fun and a great collaboration.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely. After I saw the before I thought well that's pretty but the after proves that it is the layers that can make a room really sing......and this one is right on tune!
ReplyDeleteSerene, love the texture, lots of linen. Just beautiful. Would you mind sharing your source for the headboard and fabric -- I am toying with a DIY, not sure I want to tackle that!
ReplyDeleteHi Tessa. Your bedroom looks beautiful - I actually thought it was really pretty to start, but I love that new dresser - and the monogram pillows and bedding are amazing! Your room looks like it should be in the pages of a magazine. I bet it will be before long! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo cozy,so casual,so chic, and attention to every detail... and of course the classic blue and white... you girls are top notch. AND NOT TO MENTION
ReplyDeletethe fabulous job you did on the exterior paint... what a transformation. I hear you on paint... it is enough to drive ya nuts... but it was worth it.
Hi Tessa, seriously can't stop going back and forth between the pictures. Although I thought the before picture was really still rather lovely, the after is outstanding. Such a classic room! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! What a sanctuary you have created. Love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Where are the bird prints from?
ReplyDeleteGorj! I'm curious about the bird prints and their frames?? Source??
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! I can totally see why it's your favorite room!
ReplyDeleteGosh, my bedroom is such a travesty. I despise it. Weird furniture, horrible border left over from the previous owners, it stresses me out just thinking about it. Our guest bedroom is actually nicer than the master. Love everything you did. So pretty and inspiring. I think I will be pinning this room for sure to add to my Master Bedroom board on Pinterest. As always, thanks for the inspiration!
I would love to know where the buffalo check pillows came from (ballard sage skyler check?) and the monogrammed pillows. Love it all!
ReplyDeleteyour pic is already circling pinterest. so cute! you're famous!
ReplyDeleteTessa - I love how it turned out!! My bedroom is sad beyond sad in this house, but you know how it is, gotta get the kids rooms and everything else set up first. Wishing for the coziness of this room!! xo Ashlyn
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love it. Buffalo check pillows-where are they from or where did you get the fabric? I love buffalo checks! Antique nightstand-beautiful! Please write more and also the resources. Love your pictures of your beautiful home!
ReplyDeletePat in Chicago
Tessa, what a beautiful bedroom! The wallpaper is perfect- it just takes the room to another level! Would you mind sharing the name of the wallpaper?
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS! I am pretty jealous of you right now! The wall detail, the pillows, the colors, everything just flows together into a sea of beautiful. I really need to work on my bedroom. Thanks.
ReplyDeletexo
Thanks soooooo much for your very generous comments! {big squeeze} I went ahead and added all the sources I received questions about at the end of the blog post. The only one I wasn't much help with is the dresser paint color {sorry, Robin}... I'm going to rummage through my paint cans soon and see if I can't come up with the formula for you!! xo, Tessa
ReplyDeleteYou have such a great sense of style. I LOVE this room as well as your living room. In your LR, could you tell me more about where you got your ottoman and the white/orange check pillow fabric? I just discovered your blog and love it!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning and looks so cozy!
Love it all!
Please come and decorate my room.
Take care.
Claudia

Hi Tessa, Tina sent me over and I can't believe this is my first time seeing your lovely blog. What a gorgeous bedroom! Love the bedding and especially the monogrammed pillows. I am now a follower.

I'm so impressed with this room!
ReplyDeletePinning it to pinterest~
Oh my gosh! You gave the pillows such a BEAUTIFUL home. Thank you for incorporating some Gramercy into your bedroom. I also really love the color palette and bird pictures. Sweet dreams!
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom is beautiful! Maybe someone already shared this source, but Walmart actually carries a similar mirror (maybe not quite as cool at your ballard one :) here's the link: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Brayden-Arch-Metal-Mirror-25W-x-41H-in./17462888?findingMethod=Recommendation:wm:RecentlyViewedItems orhttp://www.walmart.com/ip/Cooper-Classics-Braxton-Mirror-26W-x-42H-in./17377578?findingMethod=rr

Can you please post a link to the linen fabric? Also, where is your headboard from? Thanks! It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! Where did you get the blue mirrors on the dresser? I love them!!
ReplyDeleteI mean the blue lamps:)
ReplyDeleteAshley, the blue lamp comes from a store called English Traditions here in Cincinnati. I bet they'd be willing to ship. I know they can still order the lamp even if it doesn't show on their website. Here is the link to their website: http://www.englishtraditions.com/store/. Good luck! Tessa
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom is absolutely gorgeous. I'm definitely having a serious case of bedroom envy!
ReplyDeleteI realize people keep asking, but would you mind to repost your source for the linen fabric? The one you posted doesn't work :(
ReplyDeleteI realize people keep asking, but would you mind to repost your source for the linen fabric? The one you posted doesn't work :(
ReplyDeletehave it pinned at least 2x on pinterest...using it as my inspiration... and my newly acquired buffalo check obsession!!
ReplyDeleteHi Tessa!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this room! Would you mind telling me what shade your Ballard gourd lamps are? Can't tell if they're the 'smokey gray' or 'gray green'.
Thanks!!
Oops, just realized those aren't the lamps I thought they were:)
DeleteIf you could share the source I would SO appreciate it, thanks!
sure, they are a TOTAL steal too. Here is a link to website: http://www.furniturerow.com/BedroomExpressions/Bristol-Lamp-Group/Bristol-Lamp/prod120108/
DeleteThank SO much, what a deal! Much better than the Ballard gourd lamp:)
ReplyDeleteYour room is perfection. Cozy and chic. I just want to curl up in that bed with a good book! Where did you purchase your headboard? I love how it's low with curved lines - can't find anything like that anywhere!
ReplyDeleteheadboard is from Ballard. thanks!!
DeleteI would have a tough time ever getting out of that bed! So lovely.
ReplyDeleteTessa - I NEED that bedside table : ) Is it an antique or reproduction? Basically... where can I buy one? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJenny Hobick
Jenny, the pine dresser/nightstand is an antique {english, early 1800's}. we hunted for a while and found one at an estate sale. it is one of my favorite antiques in our home. they can be found pretty readily at antique stores but i feel like pine is in such hot demand lately that the prices are too high. if you aren't in a big hurry, then i say estate sales are the way to go. good luck!
ReplyDeleteTessa
Where did you get your bedding from? I don't see a source for it? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCoverlette and sheets from Pine Cone Hill. All other bedding was custom made, fabrics are listed in the sources above, thanks!
DeleteI couldn't find the coverlet on pine cone hill. Do you know if they still have it? Also, was the white duvet on the end of the bed custom made? Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteIs the coverelt (quilt) the pine cone hill holly quilt or victoria quilt?
ReplyDeleteCoverlette is 10 years old! Not sure if the have the exact one anymore. Duvet cover is pine cone hill, white, mini pleat. They should still have that!
Delete2 more questions for you! Are the green check pillows euro size? And what size are the linen monogrammed pillows? Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteyes, check shams are euro size. Monogrammed pillows are 20inch squares.
DeleteI have been trying to find down pillow inserts that are thick and full like yours. I have found some 20x20 down/feather inserts, but they are not full like yours are. Where did you get your inserts? Thanks!!
ReplyDeletethe check sham inserts are from ikea (best price around for down pillows!), the monogram covered pillow inserts came from gramercy linens.
