Hi friends!
I know I've been MIA lately.
I miss you!
(via The English Home)
I've been short on time, so blogging has taken a backseat.
While I have a bazillion things I'd like to blog about I'm going to
keep this post short + sweet....
While the boys were in school this morning,
I snuck away with a pumpkin spice latte to a favorite
local bookstore where I nestled down in a squishy armchair
with an arm load of shelter mags.
Not a bad way to start the day, if I may say so.
I scanned some favorite pics just for you.
Enjoy!

Toile. I still love you.
For dinner I made this creamy butternut squash + cheese pasta bake
It's supposed to be a light mac & cheese.
It didn't really taste like mac + cheese.
It was better.
Of course I'm addicted to butternut squash. Addicted.
This recipe will not dissapoint.
(the only change I made was to skip the blender.
I hate to have extra dishes to clean.
I used a hand held immersion blender right in the saucepan.
I was also far more liberal with salt and pepper, but that's just me.)
xo,
Tessa
Welcome back! Thanks for sharing the eye candy!
ReplyDeleteBeen missing your lovely posts! The light fixture in the hall at the top of your post also hangs above my kitchen sink (or its twin does)! Love the red in the bedroom by that hall.
ReplyDeleteHope you are back soon.
Tessa, sitting in the bookstore looking at shelter mags sounds dreamy!! Good for you! I'm dying over that english bathroom!!!
ReplyDeletelove all of these photos.....
ReplyDeleteand LOVE butternut squash....I need to try that recipe!
Love the bench in the first picture. Love the built in bookcases under the window seats in the 2nd picture. And I'm so glad to hear a review of that butternut mac'n'cheese. I saw that and wanted to try it but I was afraid it wouldn't even begin to resemble mac and cheese. That's it, I'm making it this weekend!
ReplyDeleteYum to the recipe! Going to pin a few of these lovelies!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these gorgeous rooms... Love the dining room picture with the beautiful hutch. Love it!
Take care and have a good week.
Claudia
Love your posts Tessa; so happy to see you back. You always provide such great inspiration. Oh for the front of my house to look like the "Change of Address" pic. But is off-white paint taboo? Stop me before I make a big mistake!! :)
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely crazy about the mudroom in the first shot (love the organized mess) in addition to that wonderful bathroom. There is something to be said for that wonderful warm traditional design found in the UK. Great cozy space picks. Cheers P.
